As Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, many motorcycle riders will take advantage of the long weekend to get out on the roads. According to AAA, they won’t be alone. The group said more than 28 million Americans are expected to be driving on our nation’s roads this weekend.
There are many special motorcycle events planned around the country for this weekend. But even if there are no rallies or other events near you, you can still make the most of an extra day off work. Weather permitting, of course. Make plans for a special trip, maybe somewhere not too far away from you that you have never visited. If you are headed to a picnic or family gathering, why not ride your bike instead of driving your car? Or just get on your bike and head off for parts unknown. Who knows where the road might take you?
Whatever your plans may be for the weekend, MotorEagles urges you to use caution so your weekend can be a memorable one for all the right reasons. As always, pay attention to the road, watch out for distracted drivers and ride defensively, not aggressively.
Above all, have fun on your motorcycle and enjoy the unofficial end of summer.
